city doing the right thing.
Special congrats to Jamie and Abby -- we know them :) -- married Wednesday,
AND the first couple to turn in their completed wedding license.

You also know Sunny and Miriam. Three hours in a line of happy folks despite
the rain and wind. But it was worth every second. Got the license then had a
very nice (teary eyed) ceremony. Sarah was there for everything but she
missed the ceremony by (hold your fingers a quarter inch apart) that much.

Then we had a yummy burger for lunch. Now we are home and about to open the
champagne.

We are legally spouses for life. Sarah suggests we do the last name change.
She likes Vith or Smolpin. Regardless of the law or the idiots who don't
like what we did today we are incredibly happy and glad to be part of history.

accept any name changes from recent san francisco marriage licenses.

We did the deed up here in Ottawa back in October. I've been meaning to
say something about it, seeing as asl/aslm is where my sweetie & I met,
but procrastination once again got the better of me. You see, I have all
these fancy wedding announcements that I wanted to send out before I
told the world in general... maybe I'll send them out for our first
anniversary.
