I'm actually kathleen, been posting to shoe for years and years... I'm the bi-woman with MS, and 3 loinfruit, that used to live in California.

Oh, not to worry! It was just a bit surreal to see "my" name posting, when I
hadn't yet *g*

This week my work schedule has suddenly changed to where I have to be at
work about 6 hours earlier than what it has been, so I'm functioning in a
haze for much of the time as I adjust.

hi all

it was so cool to come online this morning and see all the new messages in
aslm. it's been awhile, huh? at any rate, a belated happy new year to
everyone!

sunny, miriam, and i have survived our usual new year's day black-eyed pea
extravaganza, which drew a big lively crowd this year. much hoppin' john
and jambalaya was consumed & many irish tunes were played. and we were
graced this year by the witty and beauteous kiwi shoe, sarahb, who showed
up at our door during a break from trying to finish her phd. (my cat,
whiskers, fell totally in love with her.)

i'm sneaking this post in while at work, so i have to go. but i'm sure
miriam and/or sunny will have more to say.

ditto. i'd love for us to make it to the black-eyed-peafest (as long as i didn't actually have to *eat* any of those yucky things)

i've had a crazybusy holiday season. my partner and i flew up to boston on saturday the 23rd and back here on christmas day (to spend christmas eve with her
family and christmas afternoon with mine). luckily i was able to take the 26th off to recuperate. i worked on the 27th, then we drove down to orlando on the
28th to take the kids to disney world for new year's. we drove back here new year's day. and today it was back to work again. whew!

so ... a belated happy new year's to all the shoes!
