Whoo hoo!

In honor of the bt's birthday, R and I loaded up with the dog today and went
for a long drive. Gordon got to swim in the Penobscot by accident. He fell
in down below Neshowdenehunk Falls. Had to swim a ways to get to a beach
area where he could climb out.
The foliage is georgeous!!!!!

Ooooooooooooooooooo am I green with envy! I haven't been to that
place in nearly thirty years -- not since the big fires up there in
Baxter in the ...mmmmmm..... early '80s, was it?

But I still dream about Katahdin regularly. Pour some water over your
head the next time you're there for me, huh?
