of yore...the only way I'd cheer for them is if they were the only
Canuck team still in the playoffs. 'Course, it's a moot point -- we
all know the Leafs are gonna go all the way _this_ year...!

OH - I thought I saw a Cyn post...

Er...<cough>...I know I've been remiss in posting -- I swear, every
time I sit down to write a few posts, something comes up and gets in
the way. The last two "somethings" involved a lack on 'net access,
and then dealing with a domestic of sorts, then the general blahness I
think has become my inner child. Feh. And bleep.

On the +ve side, the CKs are doing marvellously, despite certain
grumblings that I'm not contributing enough to their fame and fortune.
Apparently there's an underground movement to establish koalas as the
official aslm mascot...but this requires constant furball exposure,
and if _I'm_ not talking about koalas, who is? (Koala, koala, koala,
koala!)

That said, I've been sequestered away with a returning CK from the DC
area; intense debriefings lead me to conclude that the region is not
entirely unsympathetic to the overall charms of my lil minions...

Riiiiighhhht.... I'll believe it when I see it. Me? I've been pretty
wrapped up in the Dallas/ Avs series and have been happy to see Dallas
giving em up left and right. Canucks could have a chance if they didn't
support breaking necks to win games. We'll see where it all falls out. I
say my Bruins have a great team this year. Have you seen that Patrice
Burgeron? 18? Youngest (and most creative) player in the NHL. Go Bruins!

yeah. Whatever. We watched the women's ncaa finals a few weeks back.
Boring. Downright boring, lousy hockey. Passes were poor, physicallity was
poor. It was very sad.

Point of Clarification: The Vancouver Canucks are one of the many glorious
Canuck (used as a term of endearment for all Canadians) hockey teams.

Canuck teams who are in the Playoffs: Ottawa Senators, Montreal Canadiens
(Habs ... named after a Pea Soup), Calgary Flames, Vancouver Canucks and
the loser team from Toronto ... I mean the Toronto Maple Leafs. I believe
that only the Edmonton Oilers didn't make the cut.

Actually, I just caught the last 10mins or so of the third period --
my passing interest in the game was channeled into "Go Habs Go!"
fervor only after hearing the "USA!" chants. Feh. Buuuut...it was an
intense few minutes. Fun to watch.

Now, if only Toronto could skate so well, instead of resembling
lumbering lummoxes(sp?) on ice...
