Hey folks,

I'm late, I'm late...so what else is new? (Good to see I'm carrying
2005's bad habits into the New Year...eep!)

Happy New Year to All!

I hope that this calender year brings health and happiness to all the
soles around here...and more posts! I know I haven't been much of a
contributor to aslm in a long while, but I'll resolve, (hah!), to
deluge this ng with my wacky words of weirdness until you're sick of
me. Ahem. Er, I'll try to be interesting, and stop by a few more
times...even if it's only by manifesting nosiness and prodding my fave
NZer about her social life. (C'mon, fels, tell us more!!!) ;-)

It's been rather disconcerting to discover that I, with the absence of
the floozies, am rather...oh, about as interesting as your
less-than-average brick wall. (Pah!) Ye Gods and little fishes, (no,
I don't know what that means, but gm used it once so it must be
erudite), my life has been dull, dull, dull. (When it isn't filled
with angst). My long-suffering koala buds have tried goading me into
a more active 'net life, but even they have their limits. Poor
CKs...they haven't had anyone to espouse their virtues for a while --
I suspect they're just about at the stage to adopt a friendly aslmer,
so long as she advances their fame and fortunes...! <hint, hint>

Eeek, I've got about two minutes left...

Ah ha! That would explain the furry feeling I had in my mouth when I
awakened yesterday morning! I knew it absolutely could not be attributed to
drinking too much ;-) Must have been a koala who got a little out of hand
and slipped me a eucalyptus eating tongue. Hmmmm....

My new year's treat today is to go pick up my new pick up. Eek! I'm sooo
excited to be back in a proper truck. My butchy ego has been suffering
these long years of minivan driving. Shag wagon was a misnomer... _I_
didn't get laid in it! Several others did... while I was DRIVING! With
the arrival of the truck will be no more of those... "hey, you have a van,
will you be a designated driver?" It's over. I'm so excited.
But first, off to the rink for practice! Winslow High School Girls Ice
Hockey team (2005 Tier II state champs, mind you) is undefeated on the
season. Our record is something like 6-0-2 or something... We need to go
work on that, as we're now in Teir I. Gotta go!

That long??? I've found it pays to ensure that your resolutions are realistic
and feasible. (Well, actually I've found that not making any resolutions at
all makes it easy not to break them, but why concern ourselves with minor
technicalities like that)
