I don't know about Mainers on the US team. My mom said there was one, but I
hadn't heard that. Canada's eating Russia for lunch right now. Wow. The
US and Germany are on for this afternoon. I'm looking forward to seeing
that too.

We were supposed to be ice fishing today, but the wind is howling and the
snow is blowing and my sweetie is in permanent repose in bed. She's
supposed to be making me pancakes this morning in exchange for driving all
the way to Ogunquit and back last night for the tea dance. I was pretty
tired after being up early to ref a couple of games, then blasted home for a
bit of lunch and a shower before running off to coach an away game. (still
undefeated!) Then on the road to the tea dance, followed by a bite to eat
and a quick departure when people started trying to figure out the bill.
Threw in our fair share, then put a handsome tip under my glass because the
staff did an excellent job and they always get shorted in big groups. The
last thing I saw was someone pulling that tip out from under the glass and
questioning our tipping habits. I left before making a scene... She
promised me pancakes for that, but I have no pancakes. I want my pancakes.

Time to go make a pest of myself.
