my letter to the FCC:

October 12, 2004

Dear Sirs and Ma'ams,

The so-called "documentary" Stolen Honor" is a blatant violation of
campaign law.

The film is also a violation of FCC regulations, in that it is clearly
an anti-Kerry propaganda piece.

Sinclair has stated that they have ordered their stations, (which reach
ONE FOURTH of the households in America) to pre-empt regular
broadcasting to air material that attacks one candidate.

Since the piece is to be aired immediately before the citizens of the
US vote, on November 2, it may affect the most important election in
history, because it is scheduled to air too close to the election for
an effective response by the other side.

I demand that you enforce the law.

I realize that Michael Powell heads up the FCC, and that he is the son
of the Bush Administration Secretary of State Colin Powell. This is
all the MORE reason for the FCC to make absolutely CERTAIN you are
following the letter and spirit of the law in this case.

"Stolen Honor" shows it's true colors by its title alone, implicating
Senator John Kerry as a thief, who has stolen the honor he had been
given as a decorated veteran of our military.

I request that you prevent Sinclair from airing this program until
AFTER the election.

Sincerely,
_____________

Hallow ma' fellow wimmin ... :o)

I have been reading in your NG for lil a while now ... I'm not sure if being
a bi-fem is acceptable
in this forum (please don't be upset if I'm in the wrong place) although
if I may ... I have a question
for my American neighbours ... ;o)

If same sex Americans cannot marry legally in the States - then why not
cross the border to Canada ?
we've had many gay and lesbian Americans take their vows here ...I know here
in Toron'o, and I think
Vancouver there are packages for same sex Americans couples looking to tie
the knot - my question is ...

with your current laws / government ---> if you were to marry here in Canada
would it *not* be
considered a legal, recognized marriage licence once you got back home to
the States ?

Btw ...if I am outta line or off topic ... could someone -privately- direct
me to the right NG ;o) *shuffles feet*

MeOwz ... da' curious k^a^t `~`~``~` a.k.a kathleen
